Kitchen #99

The Compost Office, Lower Haight, San Francisco, CA

The spice rack, hand built with earth quake protection. The spices are as plentiful as the dope beats in this household.

The system(s) 1. A spot to dry the jars, and a place for the lid to rest and await it's bottom! Genius. Attractive. Milking my soft spot for jars.

Due to an impatient posse, our photo shoot time was limited, and I missed out on a picture of system #2; the satellite compost bin. Another practical move for a household consuming mass amounts of vegetable matter. An easy-access compost on the top shelf, for the hour to hour broccoli stem and onion skin (for those not collecting stock for future soups) deposit. When full, which happens often, the top shelf compost is easily deposited into a more conSEALed (to prevent the decomposition smells no one really likes) bucket living on the bottom shelf, reducing the two handed compost delivery to a daily affair.

The First One...

MINE! This is the kitchen I have been working in for the past three years, where Apothocurious was born.
